Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Limewood website (limewood.app) and our mobile applications, including Renewfox. By using our website or apps, you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
Limewood is an independent app studio ("Limewood", "we", "us"). You can reach us at hello@limewood.app.
2. Using our apps
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use our apps on devices you own or control, in accordance with these terms and the rules of the app store you downloaded them from (e.g. the Google Play Terms of Service).
You agree not to:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our apps
- Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code of our apps, except where permitted by law
- Use our apps in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Misrepresent our apps as your own work
3. Free and paid features
Our apps offer core features for free. Some apps offer an optional one-time "Pro" upgrade purchased through Google Play Billing. Prices are shown in the app before purchase. Purchases are subject to Google Play's refund policy; if you have a problem with a purchase, contact us at hello@limewood.app and we'll do our best to help.
4. Your data, your responsibility
Our apps store data locally on your device (see our Privacy Policy). Because we have no copy of your data, we cannot recover it if your device is lost, damaged, or reset. We strongly recommend using the built-in export feature to back up your data regularly.
5. Reminders are a convenience, not a guarantee
Apps like Renewfox provide reminders and informational tracking to help you manage subscriptions. However:
- Notification delivery ultimately depends on your device, its operating system, battery-optimization settings, and manufacturer customizations — factors outside our control
- The amounts, dates, and forecasts shown in the app are based on the information you enter and are for informational purposes only
- You remain responsible for your own subscriptions, payments, cancellations, and financial decisions
6. Intellectual property
The Limewood name, logo, our app names (including Renewfox), app icons, designs, and content are our intellectual property. Third-party service names that may appear inside our apps (e.g. names of subscription services you track) are trademarks of their respective owners; their appearance does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by those companies.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
Our website and apps are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that our apps will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Limewood shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including missed payments, unwanted subscription renewals, lost profits, or lost data — arising from your use of (or inability to use) our website or apps. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose (or USD $15 if you paid nothing).
9. Termination
You can stop using our apps at any time by uninstalling them. We may discontinue an app or feature with reasonable notice where practicable. Sections 6–8 survive termination.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use of our website or apps after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Limewood operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these terms limits any mandatory consumer rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.
