Privacy Policy
This policy covers the Limewood website (limewood.app) and all Limewood apps, including Renewfox. We've written it in plain English, because privacy policies should be readable by the people they protect.
The short version: Our apps run entirely on your device. We don't collect your personal data, we don't sell it, and we can't see it — because it never reaches us in the first place.
1. Who we are
Limewood is an independent app studio. When we say "we", "us" or "Limewood" in this policy, we mean the Limewood team, reachable at hello@limewood.app.
2. Data we do NOT collect
Our apps, including Renewfox, are designed to work without your data ever leaving your device. Specifically, we do not collect:
- Your name, email address, or any account information — our apps require no sign-up or login
- Your subscription data, payment amounts, or spending information — this stays in a local database on your phone
- Your bank or financial account details — our apps never connect to banks or payment providers
- Screenshots or receipts you scan — all OCR (text recognition) processing happens on your device
- Your location, contacts, photos (beyond images you explicitly choose to scan), or other device data
- Usage analytics, behavioral tracking, or advertising identifiers
3. Data stored on your device
Renewfox stores the subscription information you enter (service names, prices, renewal dates, notes) in a local database on your phone. This data:
- Never leaves your device
- Is deleted when you uninstall the app, unless you export it first
- Can be exported by you at any time as a CSV file, which you control entirely
4. Notifications
Renewfox uses your device's local notification system to remind you about upcoming renewals. These notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to us or any third party.
5. The limewood.app website
Our website is a static site. It does not use cookies, analytics trackers, or advertising scripts. The only external resource it loads is fonts from Google Fonts; Google may log basic technical data (such as your IP address) when your browser requests those font files, as described in Google's Privacy Policy.
The contact form on our website is delivered by FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), a form-forwarding service. When you submit the form, the details you enter (name, email, subject, message) are transmitted to FormSubmit solely to deliver your message to our inbox, per FormSubmit's privacy policy. We use the information only to reply to you.
6. Email
If you email us (hello@limewood.app), we will see your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use this only to reply to you. We do not add you to mailing lists, share your address, or use it for marketing.
7. App stores
Our apps are distributed through Google Play. Google may collect data as part of the download and install process (such as crash reports and aggregate install statistics) under Google's own privacy policy. We receive only anonymous, aggregated statistics from Google Play — never data that identifies you.
8. Purchases
If you purchase a Pro upgrade in one of our apps, the transaction is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see or store your payment card details. Google provides us with an anonymous purchase token used only to unlock the features you paid for.
9. Children's privacy
Our apps and website are not directed at children under 13, and since we collect no personal data from anyone, we also collect none from children.
10. Your rights
Under regulations such as the GDPR (Europe) and CCPA (California), you have rights over your personal data — access, correction, deletion, and portability. Because your data lives only on your device, you can exercise these rights directly:
- Access & portability: use the CSV export inside the app
- Correction: edit any entry inside the app
- Deletion: delete entries in the app, or uninstall the app to remove everything
If you've emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, just ask at hello@limewood.app.
11. Changes to this policy
If we ever change how our apps handle data, we will update this policy and change the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted in the app's release notes. What won't change is our core principle: your data stays yours.
