Daily Bible Verse — Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 23, 2026

Daily Bible Verse ("the app") is published by Limewood. This policy explains what data the app handles.

The short version

Daily Bible Verse collects nothing about you. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting. Nothing you do in the app is sent to us. There is nowhere for it to be sent: we do not run a server.

What the app stores, and where

Everything Daily Bible Verse saves stays in the app's private storage on your own phone:

WhatWhy
Your settings: backdrop, typeface, text size, refresh time, themeSo the app looks the way you left it
Your saved verses and chosen topicsSo your list is still there next time
Whether you bought the one-time unlockSo you are not asked again
A copy of a photo you choose as a backdropSo the daily image can be drawn without re-opening your gallery

That is the whole list. There is no name, no email, no age, no location, no contacts and no advertising ID. The app never asks who you are, because it does not need to know.

If you have Android's backup switched on, your settings may be included in your own Google account backup so a new phone can restore them. That backup belongs to you and is governed by Google's terms, not ours. The photo you pick is deliberately excluded from it.

Photos

If you choose one of your own photos as a backdrop, Daily Bible Verse copies that single image into its own private storage so it can draw the verse over it. It is never uploaded. The app does not read, scan or index any other photo in your library. It uses the Android system photo picker, so it is never granted access to your photo library at all. You can remove the copy any time in Design → Remove photo.

The internet

Daily Bible Verse works completely offline. All 365 verses are built into the app, and the daily image is drawn on your phone.

The app carries the standard INTERNET permission for one reason only: the optional one-time purchase, which is handled entirely by Google Play Billing. If you buy the full set, Google Play processes it, and we never see or receive your name, email or payment details. If you never buy it, the app never uses the network at all.

Notifications

Daily Bible Verse sends none, ever. The notification permission is explicitly removed from the app, so it is technically incapable of sending you one.

Children

Daily Bible Verse is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no data whatsoever, there is nothing for a child, or anyone else, to have exposed.

Data deletion

Everything lives on your device. Uninstall the app, or use Android's Settings → Apps → Daily Bible Verse → Storage → Clear data. Either way it is gone. There is no copy anywhere else, because a copy was never made, so there is nothing for you to request, export or ask us to delete.

Scripture

Bible text is the World English Bible, which is in the public domain.

Changes to this policy

If a future version adds any online feature, this page will be updated before that feature launches, and the date at the top will change.
